Ahead of the forthcoming gubernatorial elections in Kogi and Bayelsa States on 21 November and 5 December 2015 respectively, the Inspector General of Police, IGP Solomon Arase, says he will deploy additional personnel to the two states to ensure a hitch-free election.

The police leadership has also directed the deployment of Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) to complement the Safer Highway Patrol to ensure proper policing of the length and breadth of the nation’s highways.
