The fifth national delegates of people living with HIV forum has endorsed Mr Victor Omoshehin as National Coordinator of Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS in Nigeria (NEPWHAN).

This is contained in a statement jointly signed by Mr Charlse Jjuuko, UNAIDS Global Outreach officer, and Omoshehin, the new national coordinator of the network.

A copy of the statement in Abuja said the new management board was elected at a meeting in Abuja by the delegates from six geopolitical zones of the country Nigeria on Sept. 30.

Other NEPWHAN executive members include Mr Emmanuel Clifford, Deputy National Coordinator, South; Mr Prince Gambo, Deputy National Coordinator, North; Malam Abdulkadir Ibrahim, National Secretary, and Ms Esther Ogwu, Assistant National Secretary.

Others are Ms Bosede Ajamu, Financial Secretary; Mr Bolanle Ebi, Welfare Officer; Malam Samaila Garba, Public Relations Officer, and Mr Humphrey Ubanyi, Treasurer.

The statement quoted the new coordinator as saying that he would work towards increasing investment in the services that supported the health and dignity of people living with HIV and AIDS in Nigeria.

“NEPWHAN’s leadership role will be vital to ending AIDS by 2030.

“We intend to work closely with the new government in Nigeria and its development partners to ensure that this noble goal is realised,” he said
