An 88-year old man, Pa Adeola Ajidahun, has taunted his victim, Kehinde Ola whom he allegedly defrauded to the tune of N30 million under the false pretence of selling plots of land in Lekki.

The elderly man said he may not live to see the end of the trial before the court because of his old age.
According to Ola, Pa Ajidahun told him that he would not be able to get justice or recover his money before he passes on therefore Ola was wasting his time.
P.M.NEWS learnt that Ajidahun remarked that he was old enough and his creator might decide to call him any time and that would be the end of the matter.
The octogenarian was arrested for his alleged involvement in over N100m Lekki land scam.
Following the taunting, Ola expressed concern that Adijahun’s prediction might come to pass due to his age and long trial in court and he may lose his money gone.
The alleged fraud took place at Lekki Resettlement Schemes in Otiosa Local Government Area, Lagos.
Ekiti State-born, Ajidahun who resides at 89 Karimu Laka street, Egbeda area of Lagos allegedly defrauded Ola after he convinced him that the Lagos State government allocated some plots of land to him to sell in the area.
He brandished fake allocation papers for the land and took him to the area in Lekki with his agent, Felix Olu Fadare.
The parcel of the land was shown to Ola who did not suspect any foul play and went ahead to pay for the land through his bank.
Unknown to Ola, the land Ajidahun sold to him belonged to another family in the area.
P.M.NEWS also gathered that apart from Ola, Ajidahun allegedly defrauded others. One of the victims is Tony Ezeoke, who allegedly lost over N10m to the suspect over the same land.
He sold Ezeoke the land marked by the state government as road leading to the area.
Following the scam, Ola wrote a petition to Anti-Special Fraud Unit, SFU, and Ajidahun was arrested and charged to court with conspiracy, obtaining under false pretence and stealing under the Criminal Code.
He pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs O.O. Oshin granted him bail in the sum of N500, 000 with two sureties who must show evidence of tax payment for three years.
Ajidahun was remanded in prison custody at Ikoyi pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 14 October and would be taken over by another Magistrate.
