As Futsal Worldwide Nigeria continues its preparation towards the first edition of Futsal Africa Corporate Championship for various corporate organisations in Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal and South Africa, the Managing Director/CEO of VCN Sports, Mr. Victor Nwaribeaku has pledged his full support towards the tourney.

“I have seen the potentials in developing football in Nigeria through Futsal beyond just organising corporate championships. Futsal is a highly technical game and it is a good thing for us in the football industry to encourage the game across all levels towards football development,” Nwaribeaku said.

“As a partner with Futsal Worldwide, VCN Sports has promised to provide Futsal kits for all corporate teams that would be participating in the corporate championship billed for March 2016. The Futsal kits include jerseys, Futsal boots, socks, goal keeper gloves and trophies,” he said.

According to the Chairman Futsal Worldwide Nigeria Limited, Moses Nwanze, the championship will be unveiled at a Corporate Forum scheduled for October 2015 at the Island Hotel, Best Western, Victoria Island, Lagos.

He said the forum will showcase the values, modalities and benefits of the championship to the various participants that would be present across several sectors, including banking, insurance, energy, oil and gas, FMCG, manufacturing, telecommunications and others in the selected African countries.

“The corporate championship will encourage social network, team spirit, sportsmanship, lifelong friendships and bonding amongst participating corporate organisations.

“Culling from the experiences in other countries where Futsal has grown into a very popular sport, the game is gaining significant interest amongst the varied demographics in Nigeria, especially in view of the keen interest in football that already exists. The novelty of Futsal is drawing great attention like the traditional football competitions and therefore, it is a very good vehicle for brand propagation,” Nwanze said.
