2Face begs Don Jazzy, D’banj: 'Please make one more hit'

For about seven years on the bounce, the combo of talented Nigerian entertainers Don Jazzy and D’banj through the defunct Mo’Hits Records gifted Nigerian nay African music lovers scores of hit songs.

A few years after, the bubble burst. One time buddies, broke up their highly successful partnership. Ever since, many have yearned for a reunion and come back with another hits from the duo. Then this should excite those concerned music lovers and fans.

Afro pop star 2Face Idibia has pleaded with both Don Jazzy and D’Banj to hearken to those voices and make one more hit together.

2Face made the plea during the recent #fortyfied, an all-star concert held at the Expo Hall of Eko Hotel & Suites to celebrate his 40th birthday.

“All that one wey una dey do, I no send una, my own be say, make una drop one more hit,” 2Face told the two music luminaries who seated on the same table with him in pidgin English.

In his response, D’ banj said: “It is done”, while the talented producer and head of Supreme Mavin Dynasty, Don Jazzy shyly nodded his head in agreement.

The concert, sponsored by Star Radler, had top celebrities including 2Face’s wife Annie Idibia, Senator Florence Ita Giwa, Terry Wayas, Keke Ogungbe, Dayo Adeneye, Chief Tony Okoroji, Gbenga Adeyinka, Yaw, Okey Bakassi, Bovi, Ini Edo, Funke Akindele and DJ Jimmy Jatt.

Ace comedian Basketmouth anchored the birthday concert with other artistes either roasted 2Face as well as paid glowing tributes to the humble celebrant.

There were also music performances by Darey Art Alade, Sound Sultan, M.I, Banky W, 9ice, Olamide, Timi Dakolo, Omawumi, Gloria & Elvina Ibru, Wizkid, Seyi Shay, Wande Coal and Dammy Krane among others.
