The Africa Youth Patriotic and Development Mission (AYPDM), an NGO, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to address challenges in the health sector.

The call was contained in a statement signed by the Executive Secretary of AYPDM on Saturday in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

It urged Mr President to increase funding to the health sector and also to place Chief Medical Directors (CMDs) of public hospitals on performance productivity check.

According to the organisation, the health sector is the engine room of any healthy nation, which the Federal Government and international donors should not hesitate to fund.

The organisation, therefore, call on President Buhari, under whose administration polio has been eliminated to Zero level, to increase funding for the sector.
