The Lagos State Government has promised to deliver Mushin Housing scheme under its Home Ownership Mortgage Scheme (HOMS) to the prospective beneficiaries before the end of the month.

Mr Olatunji Odulami, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Housing in the state, made the promise during a meeting with the prospective beneficiaries in Lagos on Saturday.

He said 95 per cent of work on the project had been executed and added that the new administration in the state, while trying to settle down, was also restructuring the scheme.

Odulami said the step by the administration was responsible for the delay in handing over the houses to their owners.

He also said that work on the Sangotedo and Igando Housing schemes would soon be completed and delivered to the owners.

Odulami said arrangements were being made to engage facility managers to run infrastructure in the estates.

The permanent secretary said that all previous agreements reached in respect of the houses would be implemented.
