President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Aliyu Yahaya Gusau as the new Director General of Budget office of the Federation, Nigeria Ministry of Finance said in a statement on Thursday.
Marshall Gundu, director of press and public relations of the ministry of finance who signed the statement said the appointment of Gusau takes effect from 18, August, 2915 with a renewable term of four years.
Before his appointment, Gusau was director, fiscal policy, budget monitoring and evaluation and has been acting as the director general of budget office since the exit of former director general, Bright Okongwu.
The new Director General of Budget Office hails from Zamfara State and has a Bachelor degree in Economics from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
