Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State, western Nigeria, has expressed his deep condolences to the government and people of Borno State on the death of its deputy governor, Alhaji Zannah Umar Mustapha.

In a release signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Taiwo Adeoluwa, the governor described the death of the Deputy Governor as shocking and lamentable.

“Until his death, Alhaji Zannah Mustapha displayed unwavering commitment to the restoration of peace and tranquility in every part of Borno State.

“His demise at this time is a big loss to the state in particular and Nigeria in general,” said Amosun.

Governor Amosun commiserated with the Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima and family members of Alhaji Zannah Mustapha, urging them to take solace in the fact that he led a good life.

He prayed to the Almighty Allah to grant his soul Aljanah Firdaus.
