Former House of Representatives member, Honourable Abike Dabiri-Erewa has denied owing any bank as claimed in the paid advertisement published in some Nigerian newspapers today.

Reacting to the published advertisement on her official Twitter account, @abikedabiri, the former broadcaster said it must have been a mistaken identity.

It would be recalled that the Nigerian banks has since yesterday began publishing the list of defaulting customers in line with the policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in naming and exposing their delinquent debtors by publicising the names of the company and people behind these companies in the media.

In the publication, it was alleged that Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa’s Thriller Eneavours owes Diamond Bank Plc N122m.

Her tweet read, “Shocked to see my pic in Punch. Said to 100m linked to some co. I OWE no one, not even myself? Haba! Punch,” she wrote.

She followed it up with another tweet as she tried to clear herself of an accusation that caught her off guard. “Must be mistaken identity. Also writing Diamond Bank and CBN to set the records straight. Definitely NOT ME.!!”

Still in shock, she wrote: “Never even heard the name of the co! Will get to the bottom of this!

“As to detractors, you can’t get me. I will remain my calm, honest self, shame on you,” she wrote.
