President Muhammadu Buhari has for the first time boldly given a timeline for the end of the Boko Haram insurgency.

Perhaps he is confident this will be achieved with the emergence of the Multinational Joint Task Force set up to battle Boko Haram and the pledges of assistance by G7, the United Nations and the African Union,

He said in Cotonou, Benin Republic that Boko Haram will be consigned to history dustbin by end of this year.

He spoke at the gala lunch held in his honour by President Boni Yayi.
