The Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) has advised the public to disregard the report on the social media that it is was recruiting new staff.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday, the Head, Public Communication of BPP, Thomas Odemwingie, said the report was a scam.
Odemwingwe said the report was the handwork of unscrupulous persons trying to take advantage of desperate job seekers.
He said: “The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) and the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) is alerting the public to an announcement on online media about recruitment by the Commission for the Bureau.
“The announcement being circulated on the social media was published in August 2014 and the recruitment exercise in respect of which it was published has since been conducted.
“No recruitment is currently going on please ignore the announcement.”
