Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers says the stability of the polity is crucial to the economic development of the country.
Wike said this in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Opunabo Inko-Tariah, while congratulating Muslims on the Eid-el-Fitri marking the end of the Ramadan fast.
He wished Muslims across the country a happy celebration, urging them to continually demonstrate love in the spirit of the festivity.
The governor prayed for wisdom in tackling the country’s challenges while urging Muslims in the state to embrace peace.
Wike also gave an assurance that the state government would continue to protect the rights of all residents of the state.
