The Australian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr Jonathan Richardson, on Tuesday disclosed that about 1,300 Nigerian students have been admitted into different Australian universities this year.

Richardson said this in a statement issued by the Commission’s Research and Public Affairs Officer, Mr Okokon Odiongenyi, and made available to NAN in Lagos.

He said in the statement that the number would increase by the end of the year.

The statement said that as part of the government’s effort at encouraging young Nigerians educationally, the commission would soon be having an interactive session with students of the University of Lagos.
