Moshood Oshun, the lawmaker representing Lagos Mainland Constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, has promised to continue to meet the needs of his constituency as long as he has the capacity to do so.

The lawmaker said this when he fed over 2,000 while holding the 2015 Ramadan lecture in his constituency.

“It is something we have been doing for seven years and we will continue with as long as God helps me with the capacity,” Oshun, who provided fruits, garri, milk, sugar and packaged rice, said adding that he deliberately chose the topic: ‘The Use Of Position And Power’ as well as the Guest Speaker, Sheikh Muyideen Ajani Bello, because he wanted the crowd to know the truth and further learn to use their positions positively.

“If you are the husband and you decide to oppress your wife and beat her, then it is a case of using power negatively. It is not also good to use power as the wife,” Oshun said adding that the power he has is to represent his people and serve them to the best of his ability and assist them where possible.

“The guest speaker enjoys telling people the truth and that is what I want to hear,” Oshun said, “we have the good, the bad and the ugly in every profession and business, but my advice is that wherever you find yourself, do things with human face.

“As a lawmaker, always meet the people you represent, know their challenges and know how best you can add to the solutions.”
