The committee appointed by Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State to investigate the crisis rocking the Sokoto Traders Association, submitted its report on Friday.
NAN reports that Tambuwal received the report from the Chairman of the committee and Chairman of the state Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Mujtaba Ahmad.
The governor said the choice of members of the committee was based on the integrity of the individuals.
“We are sure that our judgement is not misplaced. None of you has vested interest in the association and, therefore, we have confidence in the report”, Tambuwal said.
Ahmad expressed the hope that the governor would find the committee’s observations and recommendations useful as they were collated after hearing from the two factions.
