The Chartered Institute of Project Programme and Project Portfolio Management of Nigeria (CIPPPMN) has said that the projects abandoned by the three tiers of government in the country are worth N12 trillion.

The President CIPPPMN, Dr Victoria Okoronkwo, has said this on Saturday at the end of the organisation’s mid-year conference, featuring induction and honorary awards at the institute in Abuja.

She said the figure was the outcome of an inventory conducted by the institute.

“The institute sent out its officials to the six zones to find out the number of abandoned projects and their value,” she said.

Okoronkwo said the institute was ready to partner governments to drastically reduce the wastage of the nation’s hard resources.
