Chief Coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi has to wait a bit to free himself from the problem that trailed the announcement of his name among the applicants for the vacant job of Ivory Coast’s senior national team, the Elephants.

Chairman of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Organizing and Disciplinary Committee, Barr. Chris Green says that their findings are not conclusive as they may embark on a journey to Ivory Coast to make findings that will shed more light that will exonerate Keshi or nail him.

“The case as it concerns Keshi is inconclusive, we want to be thorough and get to the bottom of the entire thing. We will have to go outside of the country even to Ivory Coast to ascertain the veracity of whatever he’s so claimed to have done.

“But we can’t be hasty to take decisions that we end shooting ourselves in the foot, after all he’s our coach,” said Green on Brila FM early today.

In his defence Keshi blamed the media for fanning the embers of confusion by ‘over blowing’ the matter, he insisted there was no iota of truth behind the claims.

“I didn’t apply for any job if I did I would say so. I think the press is just over-blowing this thing,” Keshi said.

The panel also summoned Captain Vincent Enyeama and midfielder Ogenyi Onazi to answer queries over varying allegations.

Green confirmed that Enyeama who failed to honour the invitation will be re-invited for a closed door meeting with the panel as he admits the furore surrounding the Eagles captain’s case should be curtailed.

“In the case of Enyeama we want this matter dealt with internally and quietly because the noise it has generated is uncalled for,” Green stated.

He said he was informed that Enyeama had proceeded on holidays but warned that the experienced goalkeeper must apologize to the NFF or risk facing “severe actions”.

“Enyeama was not at the sitting in Abuja on Tuesday because he was on holidays. However his comments about the choice of Kaduna for the game against Chad were quite unbecoming. He must apologize for his actions or face severe actions,” Green told supersport.com.
