The Kano State Government has promised to revive the Triumph Publishing Company which was closed down by the immediate past administration of Gov. Rabi’u Kwankwaso.

The newly appointed Commissioner of Information, Malam Mohammed Garba, gave the assurance on Monday while speaking with members of staff of the ministry on assuming duties in his office.

NAN reports that the company publishes Triumph, Albishir and Al-Fijir Newspapers.

Garba said the company was still listed in the line of media establishments owned by the state and nothing would stop the government from reactivating it.

He assured staff of the ministry that he would work toward promoting their welfare, urging them to give him the necessary support and cooperation to achieve the desired objective.

Earlier, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Garba Musa, used the occasion to highlight some of the pressing challenges of the ministry that needed urgent attention.

Musa urged all members of staff and those working in various agencies under the ministry to give the new commissioner the necessary support and cooperation to enable him succeed.
