Kidnapped Ondo Regent Rescued

Security agents have rescued the kidnapped Regent of Akungba Akoko in Ondo State, Princess Oluwatoyin Omosowon.

Sources confirmed that the Regent was rescued on Tuesday by a combined team of policemen and officials of the State Security Service.

Details of the rescue were still sketchy as at the time of filing this report but a security agent confirmed that the Ondo Regent was freed at a location in Edo State.

“I can confirm to you that our Regent has been rescued. She was seen in the palace this morning. I heard she was brought  to the palace by security agents,” a palace source confirmed.

Weeks ago Princess Omosowon, two of her aides and a driver sent to pick her  for a lecture at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, were snatched at gunpoint by armed men while on their way to attend the lecture.

The kidnappers had earlier released two of her aides but kept the Regent.
