Mrs Florence Ajimobi, the wife of Oyo State Governor, on Sunday advised women in the state to support his husband during his second term in office.

She made the call during the Women Breakthrough Prayer and Fasting Rally of Women Intercessory Network (WIN) in Oyo State held at Government House Arcade in Ibadan.

Ajimobi, who showered praises to God, thanked the women and the entire state for supporting her husband in the last election.

“I am here to thank you all for your support during the last election; there’s nothing to say, but to say thank God and thank you people,” she said.

According to her, Governor Ajimobi was not ready to serve the people by force, but he was the choice of the people because he has proven himself through hard work.

She advised women to move closer to God and have the fear of God, stressing that God listens to prayers.

“God met Governor Ajimobi at his point of needs through prayers and also intervened in his life.

“Prayer is the key that opens all doors to success. I am a testimony of God answered prayers. Prayers has worked for me and I urged all women whether Muslim or Christians to be fervent in prayer.

Ajimobi, who reiterated the importance of the prayers and fasting rally, said “we will continue to pray for the state so that it can regain its lost glory”.

She said that the administration would continue to empower women and the girl-child in the state.

“We have a bill still in the House of Assembly on girl-child and women; we will follow it up and we hope that the new lawmakers would pass the bill.

“We will improve on what we have done before. There’s nothing new coming up,” she said.
