A former Chief Press Secretary to former Governor Lucky Igbinedion, Mr. Lucky Wasa and 11 other persons were Tuesday appointed Permanent Secretaries by Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State.

Luky Wasa, arguably one of the longest serving Chief Press Secretaries in the country, served in the administration of former military administrator of the state, late Navy Captain Anthony Onyeregbulem.

Until his appointment as Premanent Secretary, Wasa was a Director in the Ministry of Information.

In a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere, he gave the names of others appointed as D. I. Dania, A. E. Okoh, Dr. M. Agberior, A. O. Idanwekai, and O. S. Uhunmwangho.

Others are C. I. Aviele, A. I. Omoruyi, P. O. Aibueku, M. A. Ikoghode, Dr. C. O. Aibaogun and M. O. Omozeghian.

According to the statement, the new Permanent Secretaries who would be sworn-in on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Edo State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comrade Desmond Agbama, has hailed his appointment, asserting that “at last the Comrade Governor of Edo State is succeeding in addressing the marginalizing of persons by successive governments who have given their best in the services of the state.”
