The Ondo State House of Assembly, on Tuesday in Akure, elected its principal officers with Mr Ifedayo Akinsoyinu, member representing Ondo West Constituency 2, re-elected as the Majority Leader.

Others are Mr Vincent Obadiah representing Ese-Odo Constituency as Deputy Majority Leader and Mr Samuel Arowele as Chief Whip.

Mrs Kemi Adesanya, (Akure South 1) was elected as Whip, while Mr Bamidele Oleyeloogun, (Ifedore) was elected as the Parliamentary Secretary.

Mr Towase Kuti, (Akoko South East) was elected Deputy Parliamentary Secretary.
Member representing Owo Constituency II was elected Minority Leader while member representing Akure South Constituency I, was elected Minority Whip.

Speaker of the House, Ms Jumoke Akindele, said the election was a representation of the wishes of the legislators.

According to her, they are men of integrity and good character who can discharge their responsibilities as expected.

The majority leader, Akinsoyinu, pledged that the legislators would put in their best.
