Ahead of his inauguration on Friday, Kaduna state governor-elect, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has appointed Malam Balarabe Abbas-Lawal as Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
A statement by his media aide, Samuel Aruwan, on Wednesday in Kaduna, also named Malam Salisu Suleiman as the El-Rufai’s Principal Private Secretary (PPS).
Also appointed was Mr Abu Musa-Sheyin, who will serve as Private Secretary to the incoming Deputy Governor, Mr Barnabas Yusuf-Bala, while Bala Yunusa would serve as Deputy Chief of Staff, Legislative Affairs.
The statement said that Samuel Aruwan, who served as El-Rufai’s spokesperson during the campaigns would serve as his Special Assistant, Media.
It said that Aruwan had worked as a reporter with the Leadership and Blueprint Newspapers at different times.
The statement indicated that all the appointments would take effect from Friday, May 29, 2015.
NAN reports that the incoming SSG had served as El-Rufai’s Chief of Staff when he was Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.
