A 37-year-old staff of LTV 8, Mrs. Kalejaiye Olayinka, and a 46-year-old mother of five, Grace James died at the Ifako-Ijaiye General Hospital between Sunday and Monday.
Mrs Olayinka died on Monday after giving birth on Sunday. She was said to be complaining of chest pains after her safe delivery.
All efforts by the doctors on duty to save her life proved abortive as she reportedly died eventually.
Her child is said to be in stable condition as at the time of filing this report.
Mrs James, a mother of five, was carrying her sixth child when she was rushed to the hospital about two weeks ago.
She was said to have had a still birth and was reportedly discharged afterwards but could not go home due to her inability to offset her hospital bills.
The hospital management subsequently transferred her from the new building to the annex within its premises.
It was reliably gathered that her health condition deteriorated because she could not get adequate medical attention.
She slipped and died on Sunday while on her way from the rest room.
Sources told P.M.NEWS correspondent that she complained of dizziness after which she slumped and died while approaching her sick bed. The management of the hospital declined to speak on the tragedies when our correspondent visited the hospital on Tuesday.
