Three severely injured in Ogun multiple accident

Three persons were seriously injured following a multiple accident that occurred at Orile Imo town along Kobape road, Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital on Saturday night.

Our correspondent gathered that an Iveco green colour trailer with registration number GBE 137 XA which was on a high speed rammed into the side of the road after he lost control due to brake failure.

It was further gathered that an earlier accident had occurred few minutes before the trailer arrived the scene and on sighting the two cars and its occupants, swerved to avoid them.

The two cars, a wine golf car with registration number AKN 772 AA and a taxi Nissan car with registration number FFF 76 XA.

Confirming the incident to our correspondent, the Public Relations Officer of the State traffic control, TRACE, Babatunde Akinbiyi disclosed that their men were immediately drafted to the scene.

“The two cars had already hit themselves and they were at a very sharp corner. The trailer driver was on high speed and could not control himself when he got to the scene but when he tried to avoid wrecking more havoc, the driver swerved his hands to the other side of the road.

“The driver was injured along with some occupants. Six men in the vehicles were not really injured as they just sustained scars all over their bodies,” Akinbiyi said.

All the persons involved in the accidents are currently undergoing treatment at the State Teaching Hospital, OOUTH, Sagamu.
