Okey Emordi is the latest manager under pressure in the Globacom sponsored Nigeria Premier League leading his players to another slump which seemingly puts his defending champions toga on the line.

Pillars were knocked down 1-0 in Ibadan yesterday and Emordi; who won the CAF Champions League with Enyimba, says there are no excuses for his team’s failure.

The champions have failed to pick points in three straight away games; a reflection of what the current season looks like for the Masu Gida side.

“I don’t think it’s an excuse for failing to score or win that our key players are absent. The others should take up the chance to play and prove themselves,” Emordi said after the match at Adamasingba Stadium in the ancient city of Ibadan, capital of Oyo State.
