Organisers of the premium fashion and lifestyle competition, Fayrouz L’Original, have announced that the registration has been extended to Saturday, 9 May.

The show is now open to fresh graduates and members of the National Youth Service Corps as well as undergraduates of Nigerian universities.

The competition which kicked off last year, provides a platform for upcoming fashion designers, make-up artistes, models and photographers to expose their talents to the Nigerian fashion industry and get rewarded in the process.

Thousands of entries were received in the past month and multiple requests on social media.

Nnenna Ifebigh-Hemeson, Senior Brand Manager, Fayrouz,  explained that the reason behind the extension is to accommodate other interested participants.

“The decision to extend the closure of entry is so we can allow more creative young individuals, who are at that stage in their life where they need to become independent; take charge of this opportunity. So far the response has been phenomenal and we are excited about it,” she said.

Winners of this year’s competition will be rewarded with N4 million and the first runner up goes home with N1 million naira. Other finalists will go home with Macbook Pro Computers and Canon Cameras.

Edem Vindah, Corporate Affairs Manager, NB Plc added that the brand’s sponsorship of the competition is to further support the growth of the creative industry.

“Fayrouz as a brand has always associated itself with the energy and creativity of the Nigerian youth. We have proven this with different campaigns in the past and we are sure of the success of this one too,” Vindah added.
