Bukola Saraki, senator representing Kwara central has been voted next Senate President by PM News readers in an online poll conducted on 23 April. (See Link: http://staging.pmnewsnigeria.com/2015/04/23/saraki-akume-who-should-be-next-senate-president-poll/)
If their votes were to count like it did in the just concluded general elections Saraki will beat George Akume, incumbent, David Mark, Ahmed Lawan and other senators lobbying and rallying to replace Mark.
With 810 votes, Saraki led second place Akume with 441 votes. Akume’s 369 vote led others rather comfortably with Mark and Lawan scoring 28 and 22 votes respectively.
