Nollywood star actress, Halima Abubakar has condemned the recent xenophobic attacks on foreigners in South Africa.
The actress joined concerned people around the world to condemn South Africans’ hostility and racist attacks now that Apartheid has become a thing of the past.
Hundreds of Nigerians are pained and disturbed over the attacks on their compatriots and other African nationals living and working in South Africa.
Condemning the attacks, Halima lamented: “I feel sorry for the officers behind smiling at their fellow Africans on fire. Our values have depreciated. Where did our parents go wrong? Where is our heart? Seeing another suffering seems to make a lot of people happy.”
She added that “this inhumane treatment should be stopped. We are Africans and South Africans should know that.. I am disappointed and saddened.”
