The Magnus Abe Campaign Organization says it is aware of plots to malign the character of the senator, but it noted that such plan will fail because it is anchored on falsehood.

The Organization stated this in reaction to comment made by Nyesom Wike during a live TV programme monitored in Port Harcourt, alleging that Sen. Abe orchestrated the attack on a house in Bera, Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The Organization said it would have ignored such seemingly irresponsible comment, but, for the misleading impact it would create on the public.

“We are aware of gang-up against our Senator with a view to assassinating his hard earned reputation, but, such enterprise will fail because it is based on falsehood”, it said.

It expressed shock that even if Wike’s comment was part of the grand plan to assassinate Sen. Abe based on available information, Nyesom, being a lawyer was mindless of such weighty allegation

“Those in leadership positions owe society the duty of being wary of their actions, utterances and the ways they whip-up sentiments, because of the sensitive nature of our environment”, the organization declared.

It cautioned those celebrating today following their perceived victory in the purported elections in Rivers State to look for better ways of wriggling out of situations they created rather than using Abe’s name as subterfuge.

The Campaign Organization urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State to be steadfast; assuring that the rape democracy suffered in the State during the general elections will be met with appropriate legal responses.
