Dream Team VI Coach, Samson Siasia, has stated that his job with the U-23 Eagles is only just getting started, after they qualified for the 2015 All Africa Games.

The Nigerian U-23 team defeated Gabon 6-1 on aggregate in the first qualifying round, and then last weekend beat Zambia 2-1 on aggregate to book a place at the All Africa Games in Congo Brazzaville.

And Siasia says his job has only just gotten tougher with their qualification.

“This is where the job starts,” he said. “Qualifying is just one phase of it, the real phase starts after you have qualified.

“This is where we need to balance the team, get several friendly games and many other things in place because we want to do well in the tournament.

“So this is where the work starts and we have to make the best use of this period to prepare adequately,” he said.

This qualification means Nigeria makes a return to the games after missing out of the last two editions, and Siasia reckons they must do well in Brazzaville.

“We have to do well this time because we have missed out previously and we must prepare well for it,” Siasia added.
