Governor Ibikunle Amosun of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is gradually coasting home to victory for a second term in office as most of the results released so far are in his favour.

As at the time of filling this report, results from three local government areas are still expected of the 20 local government councils in Ogun. Of the 17 LG results released, APC won by comfortable margin in 10 local government with PDP winning in seven.

Results released this morning has the APC candidate winning in Ado -Odo/Ota by 36,108 votes to PDP’s 13,763. In Yewa South local government, PDP won by 12,915 votes APC’s 10,844 votes.

Similarly, APC lost by just 637 votes in Ipokia local government. PDP polled 16,877 votes while APC bagged 16,240 votes.

The result from Ijebu North which is the stronghold of the PDP and hometown of the Ogun East senator-elect, Buruj Kashamu the PDP failed to beat the APC comfortably. PDP polled 18,787 and the APC managed 14,317 votes.

At Remo, Sagamu local government area, the last local government released before Chief Timothy Ibitoye, Resident Electoral Commissioner went on break, APC defeated the PDP with 18,491 votes to 14,011 votes.

The remaining three local government councils expected are Ijebu East, Ogun Waterside and Yewa North.
