P.M. NEWS scoop in Ikorodu, Lagos, southwest Nigeria has it that a meeting between some bigwigs of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the Division and some of their boys has ended on a sour note.
Sources revealed that the meeting which took place at the Oriwu Club, Ikorodu did not go as planned and it ended up turning both parties against each other.
Although the essence of the meeting could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report, there are suggestions within the ranks of the opposition, stating that the meeting may not be unconnected to plans by the PDP to rig the governorship election in the state.
An anonymous source also explained that there is a heavy presence of armed Oodua People’s Congress, OPC members in the club.
While making these revelations in a chat, the source wrote, “Security tips… Oriwu Club Ikorodu filled with OPC members with armed men supervising some indoor activities. ..who can tell the governor pls?”
Another impeccable informant disclosed that, “meeting between some PDP bigwigs and boys ended in fracas at Oriwu club, police and other agencies have been duly informed.”
Further reports confirmed that the, “situation is being monitored as we foil a serious rigging plot.”
