Finally, it seems one of Nigeria’s biggest music groups, Coded Tunes, is set to let go the perceived bad blood that put the group asunder and reunite once again.
According to a report by E24-7 magazine, the once united music group led by super producer, ID Cabassa who helped launch the career of numerous stars such as 9ice, Olamide, Lord of Ajasa, Jahbless and 2Phat among many others, are heading back to Cabassa’s studio in Akoka, Lagos for a joint production that is expected to be a hit.
This will be followed by a concert already tagged “Coded Tunes Re-union Concert” billed to hold in May at the Eko Hotels & Suites.
Aside the Coded Tunes stars, the concert will also feature stars such as Don Jazzy and his Mavin Crew, 2Face Idibia, Banky W and Pasuma.
ID Cabassa was the magic finger behind hits such as 9ice’s Gongo Aso, Lord of Ajasa’s Koleyewon; Olamide’s Eni Duro among others.
Music pundits have attributed 9ice’s inability to reproduce a hit song like Gongo Aso to his leaving ID Cabassa’s production booth.
