The Collation Officer of the Oyo state Presidential Election, Professor Ayobami Salami, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) declared General Muhammadu Buhari of All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the presidential election in Oyo winning by 225,244.

He said APC won the election by polling 528,620 votes cast against 303,376 polled by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that came second.

Giving the breakdown, he said, AA polled 6331, ACPN poled 8976, AD polled 6282, ADC 5000, APA polled 4,468, CPP poled 6674, HDP polled 839, KOWA polled 1312, NCP polled 1895, PPN poled 2842, UDP polled 1069, and UPP polled 366.

According to him, total valid votes are 881352, rejected votes are 47,254 and total votes cast is 928,606.

He further disclosed that only four political parties signed the result sheet but PDP did not signed. The parties that signed were: APC, AA, NCP and HDP.

APC agent, former deputy governor of Oyo State, Iyiola Omidokun said that he was pleased with the result. He lauded INEC for a job well done.
