Information that broke out at about 11:00 pm on Friday has it that the Caretaker Committee Chairman of Andoni Local Government area, Esuku Esuku has been ordered out of Ngo, headquarters of Local Government by Joint Task Force (JTF)/army personnel deployed to Ngo or be killed.

PM News learnt that Esuku a leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the area was warned by the army/JTF that they are acting on firm instructions from their superiors to arrest or kill him if he resist orders to leave his local government headquarters.

It is worthy to note that Andoni local area a key battleground for the APC and PDP.

Tele Ikuru, the deputy governor to Chibuike Amaechi who defected from APC to PDP on Sunday, and his political godfather and uncle, Uche Secondus, the National Vice Chairman of PDP are from Ikuru town in Andoni local government area.

Incidentally, Dr Davies Ikanya, the Rivers state chairman of APC also hails from Andoni local government area.

Ikuru has called on PDP and the federal government to use all its powers to “drive away the APC which is a party of anarchists, rebels and insurgents and enemy at the gate”.

The deputy governor made the hate declaration in his speech announcing his defection to PDP.

Meanwhile, the whereabouts of Esuku Esuku, the Caretaker Committee Chairman could not be ascertained at the time of the report and the threat could not be immediately confirmed at press time.

However, there has been a massive deployment of army in the local government area.
