A chieftain of the Labour party in Igboho, Oorelope Local Government area of Oyo state Alhaji Sarafadeen Alani, has said the former governor of Oyo state Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala, who is the governorship candidate for Labour party in Oyo state will rule the state come May 29.

Alani made the assertion during an organised rally by the Labour party in Orelope. He said without any doubt, Akala is the man to beat in the Oyo state governorship contest going by his past records when he was governor of the state.

“We are having this rally to show the strength of our party in the local government area and to let people know the need to support Akala in his quest to return as governor. Akala enjoys alot of support from the people of Oyo state, especially from the people of Oke-Ogun, due to his political achievements.

“His chances of winning the governorship race, gets brighter each day as more decampees from opposition parties are joining our party. Akala wants to salvage this state from the grip of charlatans who do not have feelings for the Oyo state people. We all know how people’s houses and kioks were destroyed by the Ajimobi administration for the construction of roads.
