The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has distributed a total of 1,226,247 Permanent Voters Cards (PVS) in Edo State as of March 18.

The State Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Commission, Barr. Mike ‎Igini, who made this known in Benin on Thursday during a meeting with political party chairmen and other stakeholders in the state, said that the state INEC had registered a total of 1,228,258 in Edo South, 2,99,594 in Edo Central and 463,313 in Edo North.

He assured that the four local government areas which were yet to received PVCs after the Continuous Registration Voters (CRV) exercise will have their PVCs distributed on before March 22.

The State REC gave the names of the local government areas as Ovia South West, Owan South, Owan West and Uhunwode.

“I want to advise party leaders to present their best candidates to the electorates who have been identified as election winners. Go home to educate y our members on our various party logo must especially for those who are in rural areas.

“As part of our readiness to the fort coming election, my staff will be the once waiting for eligible voters in various Polly units of the state,” he said
