The total collection of the Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs in the 20 local government areas of Ogun state has jumped to over 60 per cent as at Thursday.

It was gathered that the Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC in the State has reported that it has distributed 880,293 Permanent Voter Cards which is approximately 64.2 per cent.

The Commission revealed that the percentage is based on the PVCs received so far from its headquarters in Abuja.

According to a statement made available on the website of the Commission Friday afternoon, it was stated that it has received total number of 1,370,340.

It also reported that total number of 490,047 PVCs are still in their custody yet to be collected by their owners.

It would be recalled that the total registered voters number recorded in Ogun State is 1,795,794, which, if based the cards collected on it will be 49 per cent.

Our correspondent gathered that some cards belonging to residents are on its way and may either arrive Friday evening or Saturday morning.

It was further gathered that PVC’s for residents of Ipokia, Yewa South, Ado Odo/Ota, Ijebu Ode, Ijebu North, Ijebu North East, Ewekoro, Odogbolu, Ifo, Ijebu East, Yewa North and Obafemi/Owode are those expected in the state latest tomorrow morning.
