General Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressives Congress, presidential candidate arrived Nigeria in the morning of March 6 following his three-week visit to London, United Kingdom.

Buhari arrived the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, Nigeria at 5:40 a.m. after weeks of consultation and meeting with party leaders in the UK.

Buhari told the hordes of journalists who met him at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja that he took time off to go and rest in the UK after the rigorous presidential campaign of his party.

“I just went off for a couple of weeks to rest. That’s all I did,” he said when he was asked whether he sought medical attention when he was in London.

“What is wrong for me to go the hospital? Am I not here now? Aren’t you seeing me? Are you seeing a sick man?” Buhari added.

On whether his absence had slowed the presidential campaign of APC, Buhari said: “I don’t think so. One man does not make a party”

His arrival is expected to breathe a fresh life into the party’s campaign after a lull, occasioned by the postponement of the election from 14 February to 28 March.

During his trip to the UK, Buhari delivered a speech at Chatham House where he dazzled the audience while outlining his plans and programmes if elected president.

In his speech, he also stated clearly that his government would not have any place for corrupt elements. He vowed to tackle insurgency and usher in a new era of economic prosperity for the country.
