Nollywood actor, OC Ukeje, has said that his participation in the British Film Institute co-sponsored comedy, Gone Too Far, has helped shape his stance toward Africans and the African continent entirely.

In a chat, OC who played unusual role from his usual lover boy roles, said the movie really boosted his belief in himself as an African and taught him to live up to who he is anywhere and anytime with every sense of originality.

Gone Too Far, one of the much-anticipated movies that has graced the cinemas this year, is produced by Poisson Rouge Pictures and co-funded by the BFI. It stars O.C, Adelayo Adedayo, Malachi Kirby, Bhasker Patel, Pooja Shah and Tosin Cole. It was directed by fast rising British-based Nigerian female Director, Destiny Ekaragha.

The movie tells the story of Ikudayisi (O.C) who travels from Nigeria wearing socks and sandals to meet his estranged brother, Yemi, living in Peckham, London, for the first time. Yemi, who was raised in the United Kingdom, questions both his judgment and his African heritage.

O.C. plays the comical role of a typically crude African in the midst of ‘polished’ folks. A day on the estate filled with danger, excitement, and romance, teaches them the values of family, self-respect and makes Gone Too Far, a movie to watch.  With its dramatized plot of a super hilarious film, its funniness culminates in a mentality-altering ending. The movie depicts the attitude of so many who have denounced their identity and basking in the superficiality of their assumed personality.

FilmOne Distribution set the ball of cinematic entertainment rolling last week when it premiered the movie and it is already on cinemas across the country.
