Zambia face Tunisia today at Ebebiyin in a match that could decide their destiny at the 2015 Africa Cup in Equatorial Guinea.

Tunisia and Zambia head into the match tied on one point each after drawing their opening Group B matches against Cape Verde and DR Congo respectively.

Thursday’s penultimate Group B fixture will be the two sides twelfth encounter but Zambia has not had much joy against Tunisia especially at the Africa Cup of Nations where they have met four times.

Furthermore, Zambia has never beaten Tunisia on all four occasion at the Africa Cup with two draws and as many defeats.

Zambia captain Rainford Kalaba said the team was upbeat about breaking their Africa Cup jinx against the Carthage Eagles.

The two sides last meeting was also in the group stage at the 2010 tournament in Angola that ended 1-1 in Lubango.

“I have played with them before at the club and I have seen them, they are not as courageous as before,” Kalaba who plays his club football for perennial CAF Champions League campaigners TP Mazembe of DR Congo, said.

“If we just put 100 per cent in the field, I am sure we will get a positive result on Thursday.”

However, Zambia will be without influential midfielder Nathan Sinkala who is ruled of the tournament after sustaining knee ligament damage in their opening game against DR Congo on Sunday.

Sinkala’s place is likely to be taken by defender Donashano Malama who missed the first game due to suspension.
