50 Cars Destroyed As Gangs Clash At Oshodi

There was mayhem at Mafoluku area of Oshodi, Lagos, southwest Nigera, following a violent clash between two gangs last night and early this morning.

The clash led to the destruction of over 50 vehicles and property. The clash took place at Sadiku area of Mafoluku..

P.M.NEWS gathered that trouble started when the gang from Sadiku Street had earlier attacked that of Orile area in Oshodi and killed one person.

The Orile gang carried out a reprisal attack on Sadiku last night and vandalised all the vehicles parked on the streets in the area.

A resident in the area who craved annonymity told P.M.NEWS that the clash continued Tuesday morning.

The resident said the gang also vandalised vehicles on Afariogun Street.

Another resident in the area said people have started running away from the area to avoid being caught in the crisis.

A large number of policemen and Air Force officers were said to have come to the aid of residents and have made some arrests.

The police and the air force officers came to the area after a landlord informed them of the mayhem.

Lagos State Police Coomand Public Relations Officer, Ken Nwosu when contacted said he had not been briefed about the matter.
