Nigeria’s Super Eagles begin the New Year on the FIFA ranking as the world’s 43rd team.

On the ranking released early today, Nigeria garnered 654 points to remain in the same spot as last year December and Africa’s ninth behind leaders Algeria (18), Tunisia (22) Ivory Coast (28), Senegal (35), Ghana (37), Guinea (39), Cape Verde(40) and Cameroon (42).
