The Nigerian aviation portal, where real time information about airlines’ operations and services in the country can be found, is up and running and Nigerians should start using it to plan their trips, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, said on Wednesday.

FAAN said the Aviation Passenger Service (APS) portal launched last month by the Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka, is designed as a one-stop platform for air travellers.

“The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria is calling on all intending air travellers to visit the Aviation Passenger Service Portal as a first step in planning their journeys, especially in this harmattan season.

“This is especially so as passengers will experience flight delays and cancellations due to bad weather,” said Yakubu Dati, FAAN spokesperson.

FAAN said the platform, which can be accessed on www.aviationportal.com.ng, is “a reliable source for verified information purposely designed to empower passengers travelling by air from within and outside Nigeria with accurate data with which they can make informed decisions and plan their journey.”

The portal, FAAN added, also serves as a channel to create positive passenger experience even after the trip.
