Ten people were killed and four injured when a scaffold collapsed at a Beijing school on Monday, state media reported.
The accident happened around 8:30 a.m. on a construction site at the capital city’s prestigious Tsinghua High School, which is attached to Tsinghua University, Xinhua news agency said.
The school administrator told newsmen that no teachers or students were injured at the site where the school gymnasium was under construction.
The report said that witnesses saw dozens of ambulances and fire engines at the site.
