The General Superintendent, Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, says Nigeria will certainly overcome its challenges as it prepares for general elections in 2015.

Kumuyi urged Nigerians to lessen their apprehensions and fear about the coming year and the turbulent period of elections, declaring that God would pull the country through peacefully and successfully.

A press statement signed on his behalf by the Church’s Secretary, Pastor Jerry Asemota, which formally announced the National 2014 December Retreat and monthly revival programmes with the themes: ‘Lifted Up to Higher Ground’ and ‘Enrichment Through God’s Visitation,’ Kumuyi assured that God has a blueprint for the country which transient events such as elections could never obliterate.

He appealed to all Nigerians to take advantage of the ministry’s December Retreatwhich begins on Thursday with  over 250,000 people participating, to plug into God’s Divine Master Plan and appropriate the best God has over the years prepared for mankind.

He added that God has designed packages, through the annual camp meeting, because of the critical stage in the nation’s life so that as many as are willing might enjoy sacred divine direction and intervention in their lives even as God’s Saints collectively pray for God to yet again, weigh-in in the affairs of the nation.

According to him, the retreat which starts from 18 December and ends on 21 December, will help the participants to operate on a higher spiritual frequency, especially as the nation and indeed the entire world is experiencing turmoil and uncertainties, noting that people will not be able to overcome the current situation without a divine visitation, hence, the theme.

While disclosing that the Lagos programme would hold at the Deeper Life Conference Centre (DLCC), Km 42, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, the statement recalled that in January 2013, Kumuyi, began the monthly special programme, aimed at pulling out the oppressed and the harassed from the dungeon of affliction through divine intervention.

He gave assurance that this current programme, like other retreats in the past, would feature messages from Kumuyi and other anointed ministers in the church, seminars, workshops, soul-lifting choir renditions and prayer ministrations.

Kumuyi said the programme would be beneficial to everyone-sinners and saints, pointing out that it would provide them the opportunity to make peace with their maker (salvation of souls) and afford believers the opportunity to re-dedicate themselves to the service of God.

The retreat, he added, would be streamed live via satellite from DLCC to other centres in Nigeria, Africa, Europe, America and other continents of the world where the church has its branches.

According to the statement, “Like the previous editions, the event will meet the diverse needs of participants, as testimonies of supernatural deliverances have always been commonplace at the rogramme.”
