Leicester City on Sunday axed their director of football Terry Robinson who has paid the price for a season which has left the Midlanders rock bottom of the Premier League.

The club said that Jon Rudkin, the director of the club’s academy, will move into the slot vacated by Robinson who had overall responsibility for the club’s transfer policy.

“Leicester City Football Club has terminated the contract of its Director of Football, Terry Robinson. He departs with immediate effect and with the best wishes of everyone at the Football Club,” said a statement.
