The Ogun State Government has offered employment to 430 teachers recently laid off by the Federal Government.

The teachers, who were disengaged after completion of a one-year contract work under the Federal Government Teaching Scheme (FTS), are now to be deployed to fill existing vacancies in the 20 Local Government Areas of the State.

While presenting letters to the lucky teachers yesterday in a colourful event at the board headquarters in Abeokuta, Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education ‎Board (SUBEB), Hon. Mufutau Ajibola disclosed that additional 100 teachers, who specialize in Arabic language were also employed so as to reduce the deficit in the sector.
